LEGO is releasing 3 Star Wars Dioramas

LEGO seems to get right what most of the adult Star Wars series buyers want. They want something for their display, not for playing. So Lego finally is getting it right with releasing three Dioramas. Hopefully this will be just the start of a bigger series. But as of now there is no indication that more sets are coming.

1. Death Star Trash Compactor

The first step in the new collection is the 802-piece, 89,99€ Lego Star Wars Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama that recreates the tense moment when Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia find themselves in one of the space station’s trash compactors after springing the princess from her detention cell. The diorama includes a bunch of trash (random Lego parts), a Dianoga’s head popping up, and even moving walls so you can choose a different fate for everyone than what played out in A New Hope.

2. Dagoba Jed Training Diorama

The second set, and the largest of the three is the Lego Star Wars Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama, and while it’s assembled from 1,000 pieces it’s slightly cheaper than the Trash Compactor set at 79,99€. Details include the exposed wing of an X-wing sunken into the swamp, Yoda’s hut and the Jedi Master himself, Luke practicing a hand stand, and a filthed up R2-D2 who would probably be much happier back on an Imperial Star Destroyer.

3. Death Star Trench Run Diorama

The Lego Star Wars Death Star Trench Run Diorama is the smallest and cheapest, but also easily the most dynamic and exciting of the bunch. The 665-piece set will sell for 59,99€ and features Luke’s X-wing being pursued by a trio of TIE Fighters, including Vader’s, through one of the Death Star’s trenches. The extensive detailing and greebling alone makes this one a must-have.

Coming Soon: The Lego 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine

So the rumors where all true, Lego is publishing a Back to the Future Time Machine on the 1st of April.

Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads! With 1.21 gigawatts, the LEGO DeLorean has travelled into our present. Finally we can show you the iconic time machine from “Back to the Future” as a LEGO Creator Expert Set with set number 10300. Here are all the pictures and details you need.

As the first set in the series, it includes two exclusive minifigures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown, both wearing their outfits from the second film and standing next to the nameplate, which provides information about the time machine from Back to the Future. The vehicle itself is not in minifigure size, but 35.5 cm long and thus implemented in a scale of 1:12.

“Hey wait a minute, Doc. Are you telling me you built a time machine? Out of a DeLorean?” Yes Marty! Of course, the LEGO DeLorean cannot travel through time, but it is equipped with other functions. The gullwing doors and hood can be opened at the front. In addition, the wheels can be folded into flight mode at the same time using a lever and the flux compensator also lights up, which does not require 1.21 gigawatts, but only a LEGO light brick. The DeLorean plays a crucial role in all three Back to the Future films, allowing the LEGO set to be built in three variants with their respective modifications.

Here are a few more details, the Flux Capacitor does even light up!
